As an independent contractor, I provide management and assistance for a web-based infrastructure leveraging Ubuntu Linux, Docker (Portainer), and Nginx for two SAAS services. I also extend support for various customers, helping them with a diverse range of technologies and solutions. This includes network support using products like pfSense and Ubquiti, managing Windows Server environments via virtualisation platforms such as Proxmox and HyperV, and using Linux Server environments with Docker for supporting open-source tools.

While working at the Hudaco Group, I primarily focused on Globalcomms and Elvey. As a member of the IT committee, I played an essential part in developing our IT strategies and governance frameworks during quarterly meetings. Additionally, I worked alongside other businesses within the group to ensure our technology management strategies were aligned.

April 2020 - Jan 2022 - IT Manager and Solutions Architect
As the IT Manager and Solutions Architect at the Elvey Group, I was in charge of a team of four who oversaw and developed the infrastructure. It involved managing a Hyper V environment using Server 2012/2016, an ERP system, MS-SQL and several other supporting services running on Windows and Linux.
In addition, I was responsible for supervising the WAN and Ubiquiti of WIFI and LAN for 15 branches' infrastructures. I also led, managed and executed various projects based on business needs.
I liaised between the business and the vendor to develop BI reporting using QlikSense and ERP systems.
Lastly, I was accountable for devising and implementing the IT strategy, governance and budgeting.

June 2010 - March 2020 - Solutions Architect, IT Lead
In this role, I oversaw internal IT systems, managed a team of two individuals and ensured IT compliance, budgeting and strategy. I also played a significant role in leading various projects that facilitated the business's digitalisation journey.
As part of my responsibilities, I oversaw the setup and maintenance of the virtualisation system. This involved managing various components such as the Windows Server 2012 ERP, MS-SQL, Ubiquiti network and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
As the point of contact for IT/IP requirements, I handled all such needs for business projects.

While at Global Communications, I held the positions of SysAdmin and Solutions Architect.
My primary responsibilities included managing the IT infrastructure. And I developed it into a practical and stable environment for all staff, from admin to technical.
I assisted radio and microwave technicians with their software and networking needs, guiding their planning stages. Additionally, I played a crucial role in transitioning the company to the IP world. As the go-to individual for IT and IP requirements, I managed all related aspects of business projects.
